Inclusion & Belonging
For Every Life, For Every Future means creating an inclusive environment where different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives are valued, helping our colleagues thrive and enabling us to better serve our customers and communities. Inclusion is how we lead, decide and deliver. From shareholders to customers, to colleagues and broader Communities, inclusion drives our behaviours, our approach, our products and our performance, embedded in our values, the PruWay.
At Prudential, we approach Inclusion as a business enabler. It shows up in how we lead, decide and deliver, shaping behaviours, decision-making, products, colleague experience and business performance.
We recognise that people bring different backgrounds, experiences and starting points. These include visible and non-visible dimensions of diversity, such as nationality, language, education, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, age, generation, carer responsibilities, socio-economic and religious background, abilities or disabilities, and perspectives shaped by ethnicity, culture, race or colour. We also value diversity of thought, including different working and thinking styles, career journeys, technical expertise, geographies, business areas and functions.
At its core, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to be their best selves, to thrive, grow and progress to achieve their career ambitions.
At Prudential, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone has the opportunity to be their best selves, thrive, grow and achieve their career ambitions. To support this, we provide resources, tools, learning, development and career opportunities for our colleagues to enable them to build meaningful and rewarding careers whilst managing their mental, physical, emotional and financial wellbeing. For our customers, communities and shareholders, we endeavour to provide products and services to meet the diverse needs or our customer base and to benefit the broader community, in turn delivering better business outcomes for our shareholders.
“I am deeply committed to fostering an inclusive culture that values and embraces differences where every individual can thrive as their authentic self.
Diverse teams are more productive, creative, innovative, and make smarter decisions, leading to better overall business results.
This shapes everything we do, both internally with our talent, and externally with our customers, partners and communities to succeed in the #NextPrudential.”
Catherine Chia, Chief Human Resources Officer, Prudential plc

At Prudential, we recognize that mental health & wellbeing is central to our overall health, productivity, resilience, performance and our relationships with others.
We offer a wide range of resources and tools to support wellbeing, including comprehensive medical benefits, a digital wellbeing coaching app, reasonable accommodations and hybrid working – allowing colleagues to determine how best to structure their day and deliver sustainable high-performance.
At Prudential, we are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where our people can thrive. We take a holistic view of wellbeing encompassing health and wellness, mental health, financial wellbeing and work–life integration, as each pillar plays a vital role in supporting overall wellbeing. Together, they form the foundation of a thriving workplace where our people feel supported and empowered to take ownership of their wellbeing and mental health.
Recognising that wellbeing needs evolve across different life stages and the employee life cycle, we offer a broad range of resources and support to all colleagues (including contract and contingent workers) across all markets and regions. These include universal propositions such as health and protection benefits, savings options, time off, hybrid work practices and reasonable accommodations, complemented by learning and development opportunities. Employees have access to personal coaching across medical, nutrition, fitness, psychological, financial, performance and career support. In addition, Mental Health First Aiders are trained across the organisation to provide initial support and signpost colleagues to professional help with our Senior leaders consistently reinforcing the importance of mental wellbeing through participation in panels, partnerships and storytelling.
We are committed to learning from external best practice, including industry peers and benchmarking organisations, including CCLA Corporate Mental Health Benchmark; World Health Organisation (WHO) Healthy Workplace Model and WELL Building Institute.
In 2025 we introduced a ‘Well-being’ index to our annual employee engagement survey to help focus our efforts on employee feedback and experience, allowing us to measure the progress and impact of our efforts specifically related to well-being, resilience, belonging, care and support.
Our offices are designed to include flexible and adaptable spaces, including multi-purpose rooms, collaboration zones and individual quiet working spaces aligned to gold standard WELL ratings. Our office design fosters a sense of inclusion and belonging by providing opportunities for connecting on a personal and professional level. In addition, we have dedicated areas for colleagues for lunch and breaks to enable colleagues to mentally refresh and recharge throughout the working day.
To strengthen our approach to employee wellbeing and mental health across Prudential, we aim to:
Regularly review and implement initiatives that enhance wellbeing, including mental health support, across the organisation
Promote an open, inclusive culture, free from stereotype and stigma, recognising that mental health is deeply connected to inclusion, belonging and psychological safety
Empower employees to manage and prioritise their wellbeing and support others through access to different tools and services
Provide support through a combination of central and local resources, adapted and nuanced to local contexts as needed
Comply with all relevant legislation in the regions where we operate and ensuring that our mental health practices meet or exceed local regulatory requirements
Through these established propositions, we aim to ensure our people can access the support they need, when they need it.
“Recognising the importance of well-being is key to fostering a conducive workplace where everyone feels supported and cared for. By valuing self-care, we can create a healthy environment where mental health is openly talked about and appreciated.
Investing in mental health initiatives not only enhances our employees' well-being but also positively impacts engagement and productivity. I am dedicated to promoting awareness, providing access to resources, and ensuring our workplace is a safe and inclusive space for all."
Anil Wadhwani, Chief Executive Office, Prudential plc
