Our pledge to you

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion

At Prudential, diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI) are central to who we are, how we work and how we live our values. DEI is a key driver of our Purpose to be partners for every life and protectors for every future.

Our Goal

To empower our people and deepen belonging by respecting and valuing differences. We believe that a more diverse Prudential, which more closely reflects our markets, will be in a better position to serve our customers and stakeholders and deliver sustainable high performance.

A truly inclusive Prudential, where all our employees can be themselves and feel they belong, provides a working environment that makes use of their unique skills, capabilities, and perspectives, and cultivates creativity, innovation and growth.

Our Commitment

We support our people by creating an inclusive workplace environment that prioritises their wellbeing and enables them to contribute their best and realise their full potential. We are committed to providing the resources, tools, and opportunities for all of our people to build meaningful and rewarding careers.

“I am deeply committed to fostering an inclusive culture that values meritocracy and embraces differences where every individual can thrive as their authentic self.

Diverse teams are more productive, creative, innovative, and make smarter decisions, leading to better overall business results.

This shapes everything we do, both internally with our talent, and externally with our customers, partners and communities to succeed in the #NextPrudential.”

Catherine Chia, Chief Human Resources Officer, Prudential plc

Nurturing Diverse Talent

We are committed to fostering inclusive employment practices and creating growth opportunities for our employees.

Our Culture

At Prudential, we aim to foster an inclusive workplace environment that values and respects differences, providing a platform for innovation and creativity to flourish. We value a culture of openness, honesty, and accountability. To achieve this, each person must feel that they are working in a psychologically safe environment where they can be their authentic selves.

Some of our interventions and policies aimed at creating an inclusive, psychologically safe environment include:

  • Engaging initiatives to promote Diversity, Equity, Inclusion
  • E-learning and in-person training sessions on topics such as inclusive leadership, uncovering biases, psychological safety and allyship.

Mental Health and Wellbeing

At Prudential, we recognise that mental wellbeing is central to our overall health, productivity, resilience, ability to manage stress, and our relationships with others.

We offer a wide range of resources and tools to support our people’s wellbeing. These include comprehensive medical benefits, a digital wellbeing coaching app, reasonable accommodations and hybrid working throughout an individual’s career. Adaptations are implemented at local level as necessary.

In 2025, we aim to implement quarterly mental health training sessions for people managers, targeting 20 participants in the first two sessions. Led by our PRUCommunity wellness champions, we will use participant feedback to refine and shape subsequent sessions, adapting to local contexts as needed.

“Recognising the importance of well-being is key to fostering a conducive workplace where everyone feels supported and cared for. By valuing self-care, we can create a healthy environment where mental health is openly talked about and appreciated.

Investing in mental health initiatives not only enhances our employees' well-being but also positively impacts engagement and productivity. I am dedicated to promoting awareness, providing access to resources, and ensuring our workplace is a safe and inclusive space for all."

Anil Wadhwani, Chief Executive Office, Prudential plc

By enabling sustainable high performance, we empower our people to excel for themselves, our customers and our growing business. We help you prioritise your mental, physical, social, and financial wellbeing, ensuring you feel safe and protected.

Our Hybrid Working Playbook includes best practices, tools and supporting guides to effectively implement hybrid work.
