Prudential appoints Jennifer Tear as Group Corporate Affairs Director
Hong Kong, 07 September 2022 - Prudential plc (Prudential) announced today the appointment of Jennifer Tear as Group Corporate Affairs Director with immediate effect. Ms Tear oversees Group Corporate Communications and Government Relations, reporting to Mark FitzPatrick, Group Chief Executive Officer.
Ms Tear has global experience in strategic internal and external communications, public and government affairs as well as crisis management.
Mark FitzPatrick said: “Our purpose is to help people get the most out of life by providing access to healthcare and financial security. Fulfilling this purpose will require us to work collaboratively with various stakeholders across the markets in which we operate.
“I am delighted to welcome Jennifer to Prudential as our Director of Corporate Affairs. Her wealth of experience in both the private and public sectors will enable us to deepen our existing stakeholder relationships and forge new ones, as we start our new chapter of growth across Asia and Africa.”
Ms Tear joins Prudential from the Janssen pharmaceutical companies of Johnson & Johnson, where she held the role of Vice President, Communication and Public Affairs for Asia Pacific based in Singapore. Before joining Johnson & Johnson in 2005, she held senior in-house and public affairs consulting positions with corporate and government entities in Europe, the United Kingdom and Australia.
