Prudential plc (Prudential) has today been included in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index (GEI) for the second year running. The GEI is a modified market capitalisation-weighted index that aims to track the performance of public companies committed to transparency in gender-data reporting.
The GEI framework aims to capture social data across five areas of the company: Female leadership & talent pipeline; Equal pay & gender pay parity; Inclusive culture; Anti-sexual harassment policies; and, Pro-women brand.
Developing and nurturing an inclusive culture at Prudential is fundamental to the company’s values. The Group was recognised for its progress on gender pay equity, progress in women representation in leadership and the introduction of an Anti-Harassment and Discrimination Policy last year.

The Group Talent Sponsorship Programme serves as a way to continue to ensure diverse representation in our leadership. Through Sponsorship, Prudential has key decision makers in the organisation advocate for the promotion of talent from under-represented social and demographic groups. The Programme membership in 2021 consisted of people from diverse back grounds in digital, marketing and sharia as well as provided a forum for accelerating talent from a number of our markets. 2022 will see this program expand further.
Prudential believes through participating in these external benchmarking exercises, it can continue to drive progress internally.
