Cha-Ching won the award for Best Non-Profit in a Developing Economy and it was the “highest scoring entry in the whole of the MAIAs this year,” as mentioned by Patrick Jenkins, Deputy Editor of the Financial Times and one of the judges for the Awards, in a video message announcing the winner.
The Money Awareness & Inclusion Awards recognise exemplary work in raising awareness on the many problems caused by poor financial literacy while helping to raise financial understanding.
The award was in recognition of both the quality and success of Cha-Ching which aims to raise financial literacy in children aged 7-12 years old in an entertaining and engaging way. Our series of cartoons and social assets have now reached over 93 million views on Cha-Ching’s website and social media channels, and our Cha-Ching curriculum has been taught to over 870,000 children, and more than 23,000 teachers have been trained across Asia and Africa.
